Ensuring long-term quality commitments \/ software updates until end-of-life<\/h2>\n

In this project, the effects on quality in the collaboration between customer and supplier were identified and gaps, areas for action, and challenges were highlighted. Based on the results, a 10-point plan was developed to ensure long-term software quality in lifecycle management between OEMs and suppliers.<\/p>\n

Risk factors relating to long-term software quality<\/h2>\n

Changes in infrastructure, the availability of hardware components, and regulatory requirements necessitate regular maintenance and servicing of products that have been on the market for a long time. The ability to adapt software-based functions extends across the entire product life cycle and relates to organizational and technical aspects. The project identified risk factors that can hinder the necessary adaptability of software-based functions throughout the entire product life cycle. As a result, this project provides a catalog of risk factors with a detailed description of the most important risk factors relating to long-term software quality as a basis for a general risk assessment concept.<\/p>\n

Long-term quality of software-intensive systems<\/h2>\n

Based on the previous project on the effects of collaboration between customers and suppliers in the context of digital lifecycle management, this project developed a system for the series\/maintenance phase with regard to software in the automotive industry. A checklist was developed for establishing measures relating to long-term software quality in the automotive industry.<\/p>\n

Training content for long-term software maintenance throughout the entire vehicle lifetime<\/h2>\n

To further advance implementation in companies, the project aimed to develop a comprehensive training concept, including training content, based on the results achieved so far (10-point plan and checklist) and further project findings, which systematically links roles, responsibilities, and processes. The project results help companies to implement the necessary steps for long-term software maintenance.<\/p>\n
